Service Description
If you've always fancied trying your hand at clay modelling, now's your chance!! All materials, ideas & guidance is provided by your friendly patient tutor! This is an easy project that will introduce you to some basic pottery techniques. You will learn a variety of simple hand building techniques and at the end of the session you will take home a small vessel that shows off your new found pottery skills. We will be using air drying clay that does not need to be fired in a kiln. It can be hand painted if you wish. We will not be using a potters wheel or a kiln. This is suitable for all levels of art experience and complete novices are very welcome. Drinks are available during the session, and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you. You can choose a date that fits in with your holiday plans - just select a date from the calendar when you book. If you can't find a suitable date, just let us know - we can probably fit you in somewhere! Note: For 2021, we will not be running any workshops until July (after UK lockdown lifts). We will be working in the lovely light-filled studio right next to the sea at Kirkhope Bay. You'll have a spectacular view of the sea and the beach. The community bus stops a few hundred yards away which links with most ferries (please check your timetables!). The ferry is a 20 minute drive away. Class runs 10 till 4 (but let us know if this doesn't work with your transport & we can adjust!)
